Dayhikers wanting to spend a couple of hours on Stockton can take this shuttle, which drops you off with the Stockton campers, and returns to pick you up two hours later after dropping off the Michigan Island group. Stockton offers several long trails, but it’s only .4 miles through the forest on the Julian Bay Trail to the “singing sands” beach at Julian Bay. And if you take the trail above the beach you will be treated to views of forest, beach, lagoon, and dunes — and a whole host of delicate and unusual plant life! Well worth the trip!!!
